Xanthe Pajarillo

Xanthe Pajarillo is a director-writer and Air Force veteran from Germany and Virginia. Her upbringing in a smorgasbord of cultures brought her to filmmaking. She has a passion for directing horror films about women. Xanthe hosted a radio show "Music to be Murdered By," which highlighted the academic and spiritual importance of horror cinema, and has written for Bloody Disgusting and KXSC. In 2018, she and her team raised over 40K via Seed&Spark for production of the web series, "Airmen." It received an Honorable Mention from the Tim Disney Prize for Excellence in the Storytelling Arts. In 2016 her activism for the McRib caught the attention of Al Roker and McDonald's. A video of her speech amassed 8 million views, and the supporting documentary and protest song hold over 107K views combined. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Film and Television Production from USC's School of Cinematic Arts. She holds a BFA from CalArts, and is an intern alumni of HBO, Will and Jada Smith's Overbrook Entertainment, and Michel Gondry's Partizan Entertainment.
