Kevin Jorgeson

Kevin Jorgeson, born October 7, 1984 in Santa Rosa, United States, is a professional climber. He is particularly known for his very difficult bouldering achievements, in particular "Highball". He free climbed the Dawn Wall route in Yosemite National Park with Tommy Caldwell, considered one of the most difficult long routes in the world. Kevin Jorgeson started climbing at the age of 12 in the climbing gym Vertex Climbing Center, which is located in Santa Rosa, in his hometown1. He progressed rapidly and began to compete in the North American Junior Climbing Championships, which he won in 2001 in Berkeley (CA). Kevin Jorgeson is a versatile climber, he practices free climbing, bouldering, long route and even full solo which he particularly appreciates during his "Highball" climbs. He also has a good knowledge of trad climbing gained from his travels in the UK and El Capitan.
